Charles Hubbard

I have always had a love for art. I started drawing as far back as I can remember.

I joined the Navy right after graduating from High School and spent the next 23 years serving. While I did keep drawing, I never had a good opportunity to expand my talent into anything until a couple of years after I retired from service.

Using my GI Bill I finally went to college and got a BFA in Graphic Design, but my heart was still pulling me toward the pure arts of painting and drawing. I dabbled in a few different mediums trying to find what I liked and what I didn’t.  I have enjoyed airbrushing and oils and even computer graphics and animation but my favorite (so far) is Pastels, with which I am currently working. I have an older sister to thank for getting me started with Pastels. I instantly fell in love with the medium.

I am of the firm belief that one should never stop learning so I don’t know where my art will take me; just that I intend to enjoy the ride.
