Dennis Pirello

Dennis Pirello was born in 1947 in Spokane, Washington.  He began his formal art training in 1971 at Spokane Falls College and Gonzaga University, studying advertising art, graphic design and fine art.

 Since 1977 he worked as a graphic designer, art director and fine artist in Portland OR, Billings MT, and Spokane, WA. He taught art classes at Mount Hood Community /college, Portland State University as well as classes at Spokane Falls College.  He currently gives classes in oil painting from his studio in Enumclaw WA where he now lives and works.

 Artist Statement:

My art reflects my roots in country life.  I paint in a style that reflects the idea of the subject without a great amount of detail.  I believe once the visual statement is complete the artist should put the brush down.  Easier said than done.
