Hi! My name is Jane Krohn. I am a metal artist who designs and fabricates sterling, copper, and brass jewelry.  I make each piece one at a time.  I have several pendants that I use in series  For example, the “Every woman a goddess” piece. I designed her several years ago and had multiples cast.  I bead necklaces for her in natural gem and stone.  There are no two exactly alike.  My work has evolved over the years but generally focuses on women and the transition times in our lives.

I love combining elements: metal and wood, natural stone and sterling, pearls and copper. I am inspired by the mixture of color and content. I love texturing metal using natural elements like corn husks or bark.  Each piece has a story.  Sometimes a piece creates itself while I am working on it. I title some of my pieces and let others speak for themselves.

I took my first jewelry metals class in 1976 at Enumclaw High School and have dabbled ever since. In 2006 I began producing more work and set up shop. I am enjoying the journey of taking my work to new levels.  I am grateful to the Arts Alive Gallery for the opportunity to be a working artist.
