Thomas Michael

I am a Pacific Northwest native, born in the old Renton hospital and grew up in the small town of Maple Valley, Washington.

I entered military service in 1967 from high school, where I served for just over nine years with 1st and 5th Special Forces Group (Airborne).
Following my military service in 1976, I enrolled with Peru State College in Nebraska from which I graduated in 1978 with a Bachelor of Science degree in Biology

I currently reside in Buckley, Wash., where I work as a full time artist. My philology of art is simple, I create art to convey a meaningful representation of nature and it inhabitance, that will hopefully invoke a feeling of relaxation, retrieve a forgotten memory or provide a new perspective of the natural world around us. I am honored to know that my art hangs in homes where it provides a sense of pleasure to the owners.

My art work is primarily of North American wildlife, and the scenic beauty of the Pacific. The mediums I work with are Oil, Watercolor, Pen and Ink, Graphite, Pastel, Scratchboard, and Airbrush.
