VOLUNTEER OPPORTUNITIES AVAILABLE  AT ARTS ALIVE!

 Below are some opportunities that we would really appreciate your help with. The Gallery can always use more volunteers. We ask our sales help volunteers to please be considerate of  their commitment due to our responsibility to have the gallery  open  during the hours we post.  We appreciate all our volunteers regardless of how much or how little time they can give!  Every little bit helps!

GALLERY:

             Sales Help: We need at least one volunteer to man the gallery during our open hours. Duties would include, opening and closing: taking the sign out on to the sidewalk in front: counting the cash box at opening and closing: talking to customers and making sales when required. We are open Monday thru Saturday, hours are from 11 am to 4 pm, Friday 11 am to 7 pm (2 shifts- 11-4 & 4-7), Saturday 9 am to 5 pm. Shifts are  4 hours each (Friday has one 4 hour shift and one 3 hour shift). Volunteering a few times a month would be a great help. 

 Experience: Basic math, adding and subtraction. Use a charge machine, (will train). enjoy talking to people, interest in art.

 Cleaning: Someone to come in once a week or even every other week, to dust and sweep floors, clean tables and bathroom.
 
     
 

ART IN THE GARDEN:

2010 Date, August 7 & 8, Saturday and Sunday

            Mailing Invitations

            Delivery of flyers to local merchants

            Set up

            Take Down

            Put up direction signs and take down

            Driver in the morning to pick up artists at parking lot (2 days)

            Driver in the evening to take artists back to their vehicles (2 days)

            Cashiers

            Runners – 4 each for three 4 hour shifts for two days

            Run the concession stand

            Clean up
 
 

AUCTION: 

2010 Date, November 6, Saturday Night

Pre Auction Night:

          Mailing procurement letters

          Labeling and mailing Save the Date Cards

          Procuring items for auction

          Procurement Routes (need 8)

          Catalog

          Ticket sales

          Liquor procurement for bar

          Golden Ticket

          Decorations

          Record keeping of items coming in

          Procure desserts

          Table centerpieces (15 to 22, depending on the number of tables used)

          Distribute posters

          Live auction posters to be made

 

Auction Set Up Friday, Nov. 5th, 2010:

           Set up silent auction tables

          Put up decorations

          Set up bar

          Set up Cashiers area

          Set tables and chairs up

          Set up Live Auction items

 

Auction Night ,  Saturday, November 6:

           Parking lot attendant (need 1, possibly 2)

          Cashiers (need 8)

          Bartender (need 3)

          Ticket seller for bar

          Ticket seller for Gold Ticket

          Ticket seller for Quilt Raffle

          Silent auction table closers (need7)
