Divine Glass Designs

fused glassI’m addicted to fused glass.

I grew up in Auburn and I always took some kind of art class in middle & high school but I never knew anything could come of it. So I eventually ended up working at a foodservice company in Kent where I’ve been for the past 21 years. I always felt like I was missing something, though and that feeling grew more intense when I hit my 40’s. My kids were older doing their own thing, my husband had his projects. Now it was my turn, time to expand my horizons. Then out of the blue I received a catalog from Green River Community College. I was drawn to the fused glass classes and signed right up for the first tile class taught by Diana Wendt out of her Blue Dog Glass Art studio in Covington. Diana is a great teacher and I was hooked after that first class. I took another class and another. I felt great! It’s taken awhile but I now have my own studio. It’s small, but it’s mine. Now I can go as far as my imagination will take me!
