Kay Hebrank
Kay grew up locally with an artistic father who influenced her artistic journey from a very young age. Some of her earliest and fondest memories were drawing and designing. Painting began with acrylics during high school, and after graduating, she learned oil; then watercolors.
Kay’s present art path is constantly evolving as she immerses herself in practicing and creating art. Her current medium of choice is acrylic, for the versatility it allows from the look of oil or the look of watercolor.
Many of Kay’s paintings reflect the peace she has found within the beauty of the Pacific Northwest. She enjoys slowing down life to admire the colors of the clouds, mountains, ocean, and event the foliage that surrounds us. She uses photographs as references when needed to help her recall the energy she felt from each scene as she paints.
